Shampoo Base (Earthy Blend)

Description Shampoo Base, Earthy Blend. Vegan-friendly!  Customers have asked and asked for us to create a sulfate-free, alcohol-free shampoo that is gentle, yet effective. Well, wait no more, because it’s here, and it’s wonderful! Mild and gentle, this Shampoo Base, Earthy Blend, contains NO sulfates, alcohol, parabens, gluten nor phthalates. Yay! The suds-ing action is rich & creamy, making it extra kind to your scalp and hair. The texture is pretty close to a store-bought product, as far as thickness goes. It has good body and will not slip thru your fingers like some natural shampoos do. Because of the ingredients we use, the “color” is translucent to opaque.  It’s pH-balanced to 5.5 for those of you who are concerned about pH levels. Please note that during the winter months this item could congeal/change color during shipping.  If your product arrives milky in color, allow the product to warm up naturally by simply allowing the bottle to rest a day or so in a normal room-temperature room.  Store in a location at or above 65 degrees.  When the base is cold, the color will be opaque and when stored at normal room-temperature it will be significantly more see-through. Lid Types: We offer two types of lids for the 5 gallon size: one with no spout and one with spout. The spouted option features a 2-inch pull-up spout, making it easier to pour the product cleanly. The no-spout option contains a standard lid. We carry a pump that fits our 5 gallon buckets, making your re-packing project a whole lot easier (click here):  5 Gallon Pump Customizing this base: The base will generally accept additional additives that are water-soluble, however, adding water and or water-soluble ingredients may compromise the shelf life. Consider adding additional preservatives to any water-based additives. Oil-based additives will reduce the lathering ability, so use caution. Take good notes and trial tests during your formulation process. Ingredients for all scented versions: * Hamamelis virginiana (witch hazel) hydrosol water, *Helichrysum italicum (helichrysum) hydrosol water, *Melaleuca Alternifolia (tea tree) hydrosol water, *Rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) hydrosol water, decyl glucocide, lauryl glucocide, * vegetable glycerin, sodium alginate, amber extract, (gluten-free) oat protein, keratin protein, panthenol DL, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Vitamin B3, Vitamin B5, Vitamin B6, lactic acid, propanediol (naturally derived preservative), ethylhexyl glycerin (naturally derived preservative), and potassium sorbate (food grade preservative), *tea tree, fir needle, (and) *sweet orange.
